Therapy Style
Starting therapy can be difficult and scary, but it can also be the first step towards a better life. Many of my clients come to me feeling stuck, anxious, or overwhelmed by their thoughts and emotions. Through therapy, we work together to understand the root of these difficulties and achieve insight and growth.
I view therapy as a road trip that we take together. You drive the car, while I hold the road map. I'm here to support you and help you navigate any roadblocks you encounter along the way.
My approach to therapy is personalized and based on each client's individual needs. I believe that everyone is unique and shaped by their cultural background, family, beliefs, and experiences of privilege and oppression. As such, I focus on understanding your life circumstances and developing treatment goals collaboratively. Because our "road trip" requires trust, I prioritize the therapeutic relationship and make space for my clients to reconnect with their authentic selves.
About Me
Hello! I am Alex and my passion lies in helping to alleviate suffering and promote positive change and growth.
Originally a born and raised Jersey Girl, I have been proud to call Baltimore my home for many years. In my spare time I enjoy hiking and traveling. I also can be found immersing myself in a good book, movie, or video game.
I also have a cat, Bento, who loves to sleep next to me during therapy sessions. Sometimes he may even pop by to say hello and remind us of the importance of slowing down and connecting with the present moment.
